What is Scodix

Scodix is an innovative and creative print technique which comes in a UV gloss or foiled raised enhancement. It is quite simply a brilliant print technique if you want your print to stand out and really create a memorable experience for your customers.

Scodix is a digital enhancement which is applied to the print after the sheets have been printed with a CMYK print. The Scodix is applied via another machine and method which gives the area a shiny gloss embossed feel and look

The treatment comes in a UV gloss varnish, foil option and also cast and cure which is a holographic version

Spot, this is the UV varnish version and most commonly used
Sense again this is popular and is better for packaging and can really focus in on detail and suitable for folding box board
Foil which is the metallic option and suitable for business cards, brochures and wedding stationery
SHD which is suitable for fine lines and designs with intricate detail like small lines and dots on a pattern together
Cast and Cure this the holographic version and is suitable for event marketing assets
Crystal which is great for greetings cards impactful direct mail campaigns and more for B2C customers with jewellery or cosmetic companies
Glitter this is a wonderful look and feel and useful for packaging, greetings cards or a direct mail piece which gives a high impact experience.
VDE this is suitable for personalisation of invitations
Braille this is suitable for print where the text needs to be raised for visually impaired customers
Uncoated this is for use with uncoated papers for mainly business cards and invitations.
